Heather Devine has been a member of the Christ Church Cathedral parish since 2012 and attends the 9.15am Sunday service with her two young children. Originally from the East Coast, Heather and her husband made their way across Canada to the West Coast in 2001, drawn here by BC’s mountains, rainforests and ocean.
As a career public servant Heather has enjoyed many opportunities to build programs, develop policies and lead projects. She is particularly interested in seniors’ issues and is proud to have established Canada’s first Office of the Seniors Advocate and the province’s Better at Home non-medical home support program for seniors.
Heather holds a BSc from Dalhousie University and an MPA from the University of Victoria. She has served on several boards and committees and volunteers as neighbourhood Block Watch Captain and as a member of her local emergency preparedness program.
