Audrey M. Thomas (Vestry Clerk)
Born and raised in England. Came to Toronto, Canada in 1962 to teach high school geography. Met and married Paul: one daughter and one grand-daughter. Moved from Saskatchewan to Victoria in 1980.
After teaching and voluntary work, pursued thirty year career as adult literacy facilitator in three provinces – UNESCO researcher/author, advocate/ organizer, trainer, NGO Board member, BC civil servant/grants administrator and curriculum developer.
A cradle Anglican with intermittent attendance at CCC services in the late 1980s and 1990s morphing into a firmer commitment in 2000. Served on Parish Council from 2004-09: involved in many committees and initiatives especially as Chair of the Adult Faith Development Committee (2006-09). After being a member of the Chancel Guild silver team for ten years, moved to the Flower Committee and participated in the celebratory Flower Festival in June 2015. Active in the Knitting Ministry and as a CCC Tour Guide for the Welcome Committee.
