A Requiem Eucharist sung to the setting by Maurice Duruflé, whose 1948 Requiem is the pinnacle of the twentieth-century French composition. Rooted deeply in Duruflé’s own spirituality and love of plainsong, this gossamer work sets texts from the “Mass for the Dead.” Sung liturgically by the Cathedral Choir.
Calligraphers and artists at Christ Church Cathedral are creating an All Souls’ Day collage of names this year, displayed at our Requiem Eucharist.
