Throughout July and August, Victoria’s Christ Church Cathedral is hosting over a dozen in-person concerts in the cathedral’s vast arched space, renowned for its presentation of world-class music. Here’s a run-down what’s coming up in the next couple of weeks
Earlier this year, the Emily Carr String Quartet began a cycle of Beethoven’s complete string quartets in nine live-streamed concerts. In-person tickets are also available now for the next concert on July 30 (4.30pm or 7.00pm) and can be purchased at the links below. On the program is Beethoven’s Quartet no. 4 in C minor (Op. 18, no. 4) and Quartet no. 9 in C major (Op. 59, No. 3). As always these concerts can be watched online as well at the cathedral website www.christchurchcathedral.bc.ca/live

In the coming weeks, the series features performances by Victoria Symphony Musicians, the Cathedral Choral Scholars, specialists in 12-century wind instruments (Renaissance Winds), a music for trumpet, organ and voice, and the young piano virtuoso Grisha Krivchenia.
