A leader remembered for his social justice work, Bishop (ret) Barry Jenks died July 12 at the age of 80. Jenks was the 11th bishop of the Anglican Diocese of British Columbia, serving from 1992 to 2003. The service for Jenks will be July 19 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Divine (1611 Quadra Street).
Jenks was ordained in 1965, and he served in parishes in Sechelt, Lantzville, Departure Bay and Victoria before becoming bishop.
