Last weekend, the cathedral community formally welcomed Dean Jonathan Thomas with a special Choral Evensong service. We had readings from Cathedral School Head Crystal Harvey and Diocesan Executive Director Brendon Neilson. Gifts were presented to the new Dean on behalf of the cathedral parish, the diocese, and our community partners. The Dean preached an inspiring sermon (available below), and music was offered by an 80-strong team of cathedral musicians, choristers, and singers from around the diocese (which included two world premiere compositions!)
 
Of particular note: six former Young Choristers participating in the newly-formed Youth Choir, and a further three Cathedral School Alumni singing with the Cathedral Choir.  How wonderful to see these young singers still engaged with the life of Christ Church Cathedral!
