Organist Earns Choral Conducting Diploma

Now Sandra Fletcher can add even more post-nominal initials after her name. The Cathedral’s interim associate organist earned her choral conducting diploma recently from the Royal Canadian College of Organists. She is one of only three candidates in Canada to sit the three-hour written exam and the practical exam (in Toronto) this year. Not only that but she received a scholarship towards future courses. The convocation takes place in July in Calgary. Fletcher has studied piano since she was eight years old, and began seriously studying the organ in 2011. She joined the Cathedral in September 2017. She is also the conductor of the James Bay Children’s Chorus.
