Our monthly outreach initiative this month is the Canadian Harambee Educational Society (CHES). Vicar Ross Bliss sits down with CHES volunteer Catriona Harker to find out more about the work being accomplished by this organization.
"Harambee is a Swahili word meaning pulling together and a Harambee is a group of like-minded people who work together for a common purpose. Our common purpose is to provide scholarships and support so that girls in Tanzania and Kenya are able to have a secondary education. We are supporting 613 girls right now."
