Cyrus grew up in Richmond, BC prior to attending university in Ontario. After graduating he lived in Toronto and then Ottawa where he became a parishioner at Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa. There he also joined the Royal Canadian Navy and moved to Victoria in 2016 for his first posting. After arriving he came to the Cathedral and has been a parishioner here since.
In 2018 Cyrus left the navy and has continued living in Victoria with his partner Bryan and their dog Gloria. Since then, he has been working for the BC Government and is currently a project administrator in a facilities management department. He provides support to project managers on building related projects across the province from small to major renovations to other facilities initiatives. At the Cathedral, Cyrus has been sidesperson and is now a member of the Servers team assisting with services.
