Ian MacDonald is a cradle Anglican born in Regina. He served at the altar and sang in church choirs while growing up and continues to do so now. Ian served as Peoples Warden (All Saints’ Cathedral in Edmonton) for several terms during the transitions of both dean and bishop there.
Ian is a retired anaesthesiologist and was previously married, he is the proud father of three adult children and grandfather of two gorgeous young granddaughters.
Victoria and Christ Church Cathedral have been home since 2019 and he is involved in serving, reading, intercessing, and assisting with administration of the chalice as well as singing in the Parish Choir and helping organize and lead the walks of the cathedral’s walking group.
