The Emily Carr String Quartet gears up for their latest series, featuring works by famed composers Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, alongside masterpieces by composers from BC and beyond.

The Emily Carr String Quartet kicks off our fall music programming on Friday September 16 with the first of their six-concert series devoted to the string quartets of Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn. 

The series features all seven of Felix Mendelssohn's completed quartets and four of his shorter works, the String Quartet in E-flat by Fanny Mendelssohn, as well as pieces by contemporary artists from BC and around the world. Featured contemporary composers include Jennifer Butler (Vancouver), Linda Caitlin Smith (Toronto), Osvaldo Golijov, and John Tavener. Individual tickets are $30 each ($10 for students) but as a special offer, you purchase a series pass for all six concerts for only $150. The series will also be livestreamed on the cathedral website and through our channels. More information and ticket links below.
